Nazira joined the firm as a trainee, became a Partner in 2004 and was appointed Senior Partner in 2011. She is able to offer expertise in the full range of transactions involved in both domestic and commercial property and is Head of the Commercial Property Department. Nazira also advises on business transfers and landlord and tenant law.
She has a special interest in Islamic finance and is an expert in Shariah compliant conveyancing and has built up strong professional connections with all of the financial institutions offering Islamic finance products.
Nazira also heads the Family Department and advises on all matters relating to divorce, financial settlements and Children Act proceedings. She has gained considerable experience in dealing with vulnerable women from religious and ethnic minorities.
In addition to family work, since becoming Partner, Nazira has overseen the expansion of the firm into other areas of work including civil litigation, debt recovery and Islamic wills.
Nazira is fluent Urdu and Memon and can also speak Gujarati and Hindi.
